About Cheryl T Long

My Story

I was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia. I come from a wonderful family of hard workers. It was never hard for me to be able to express myself. As a child I was very inquisitive. Almost to a fault, as I often got into a lot of trouble because I wanted to know about everything.
Since I was a child, I’ve been told to do well in school, so you can get a good job, and you will make a lot of money. But, of course, I did not stick to that plan. I took several detours I had other passions. I was very creative always coming up with a new way of doing a task. I loved to read and write, but I didn’t really care for the other subjects in school. I loved people and always wanted to see the best in everyone. I realized early in life that I had a heart for people.
I loved music of all genres. I was fascinated with the earth and how life co-existed. I loved bugs, worms and planting things and digging things up. As time went on, I recognized that my uncommon combination of interests and skills was a strength, not a disadvantage.
Soon, I discovered that life is about more than just gaining a good career, making a lot of money, or following any kind of life script.
I wanted to find what makes people truly happy, successful, and creatively fulfilled. Why do some people struggle while others thrive, often in the most trying of circumstances?
Oh, wait remember I told you I took some detours well put your seat back on we’re going for a fast ride! When I was 17, I had my first child. A beautiful baby boy.
Two years later I had my second child a beautiful daughter and I was also a new bride. Three years after that I had my third child another beautiful daughter. By this time, I am also in hair school.
After graduation from hair school, I had countless jobs cutting hair until I decided to get my own hair shop. It was fun and lucrative being a business owner, but I didn’t have the proper knowledge needed nor did I have the proper business partner so after 10 years that business failed and so did the marriage.
I soon found myself a single parent of three and felt a bit hopeless. My credit was jacked up and I didn’t own a home. It was at this point in my life that I started to realize I was out of balance with my true self.
I started praying more, reading more, and learning the power I had in me. I went back to school and got my degree for business management. I got remarried and had my fourth and finale child. You guess it another beautiful girl!
Over the course of twenty years, I was able to work in several managerial positions and where I found I did well as I was able to lead and motivate people it just wasn’t fulfilling and ultimately didn’t work. So, after a lot of soul searching and prayer, I was led to quit my 9-5 and step out on faith to my true calling, which is to be of service to people.
I discovered my life mission at the age of 48: to grow and help others grow. I believe we can uplift others around us and create a more positive globe for everyone by focusing on ourselves and improving as individuals. Rather than living in fear and division, we can vibrate in love and oneness, with the goal of uniting the globe one day.
Any valuable thing I have to say derives from my own rehabilitation and wrestling with a desire to serve. I feel we are entering an era of great transformation on Earth
Life is an amazing opportunity! We can all be so much more than we envision and accomplish so much more than we believe. Our only stumbling block is our own minds. I believe that cultivating our innate spirituality is the path to long-term development.

The issue is an issue that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I found this during my search for something concerning this.
