As the Flowers Bloom: A Floweret

Living in a two parent home would seem ideal, but for this little girl.
Cherish Flowers is a six-year-old child prostitute trafficked by her father, and her mother knew about it. Although severely sexually and mentally abused, she finds a way to deal with her life as it is. She takes solace in her ability to dance.
Cherish is in love with the dancing, but can she survive the daily travails of her life?
With no formal training other than her passion for dancing, Cherish has finally gotten her big break, but it might cost her everything. Unable, to put the nightmares of her past and the man that abused her out of her mind, she soon finds herself spiraling under those bright lights.
Will this flower bloom? Or will she wilt?

Hi there, I’m Cheryl, and I am starting this blog as a way to share with my daughters some of the life lessons I’ve learned, and to inspire all daughters to live their dreams. I will blog about relationships, food, family and love of self.

On a more personal level, I’m constantly trying to learn how to be better at things that really matter, like living intentionally, appreciating people, and making each day count. I am a mother of four, of which 3 are girls ages ranging from 13-28. I am a Medical Office Manager, with a lot of experience in motivating people to their highest heights.

Alone

My smile hides my tears.
My laugh hides my screams.
It's been this way for years.
Things aren't as they seem.

Nobody really knows me.
They only know my cover.
But I wish I could let it free.
Let them know what's under.

But instead, I practice
My smiles in the mirror.
Then the next thing I do is
Make my fake laugh clearer.

Perseverance

That life is what you make it, and sometimes it's hard.
We get battered and bruised, mistreated and scared.

We forget what's important.
We forget our drive.
We all need a focus point,
A reason to survive.

Find your passion.
Find your drive.
Find something that makes you fight,
And you will survive.

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
