I’ve had two major struggles with forgiveness in my life, one was related to my parents and the other was with my romantic partners. I had to learn how to forgive them for not giving me the care, love, and support I longed for.
Going through life we will be hurt by people we trust the most. This type of hurt is perhaps one of the worst feelings we will encounter. The betrayal makes it hard to trust anybody again.
Forgiveness is an everyday, sometimes an hourly practice. It’s about letting go of how you feel, and aiming for where you want to go and what you want to achieve in your life.
